Faster innovations for passengers and airport: Alliance with TU Delft

Royal Schiphol Group and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) are set to join forces in focusing on traveller experience and the airport process. Together, we aim to take a creative and accelerated approach to developing new innovative projects and services and solving problems. TU Delft's Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering will offer and develop knowledge in strategic design and Schiphol will serve as a living laboratory at the airports. Over the next five years, 40 graduating students and PhD candidates from TU Delft will be working in operations at our airports.

The alliance will work on developing new products and services in the living lab of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Eindhoven Airport and Lelystad Airport. The focus of their efforts will be on the traveller experience and the future of airport operations. At the same time, scientific knowledge on mobility will also be developed.
