Zero waste soups
The Verspillingsfabriek – or ‘Waste Factory’ in English – has a novel concept. Most supermarkets let irregularly-shaped, small or furrier vegetables go to waste, even though they don’t taste any different than regularly-shaped ones. The Verspillingsfabriek transforms those irregular vegetables into delicious soups, which are full of good fats with very little added salt and sugar. They also use every part of the vegetable, from the skins to the cores, to bring out every flavour. The soups made by caring folks who are disadvantaged on the labour market … because good talent shouldn’t also go to waste! In addition to the soups, you will find all kinds of snacks such as sausage rolls, cookies, muffins and brownies.
