Wireless Internet at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
In cooperation with KPN HotSpots, Schiphol offers you Wireless Internet throughout the entire airport. You simply use your own laptop or PDA to go online through our portal which will automatically appear once you open your browser. Once you have created an account you can choose how long you would like to stay, and pay for your internet access using your credit card. Simple and easy! KPN Internet Centres
Work at ease at the KPN Internet Centre. Here you can comfortably sit and work, as well as charge your battery, mobile phone, or PDA. Each location has more that enough electrical outlets to accommodate your charging needs. Electrical outlets are standard European 220v. (Please make sure you have your adapter with you.)
If your laptop is not Wi-Fi equipped, LAN cable connections are also available. If you did not bring your laptop at all, we offer you internet access using one of the broadband desktop computers. On the desktop computers in the KPN Internet Centres you can upload documents from your flash drive or memory card. One computer on each table is equipped with a USB/card reader. The desktop computers have all the latest viewers installed.
From either your laptop or from our desktop computers you can print files (black and white). To do so an internet connection is required. Just follow the directions next to the printer.
You can purchase access on your laptop, or on the desktop computers directly using your credit card, via the credit card machine at the KPN Internet Centres, or if you wish to pay cash or use a foreign currency you can buy at the nearby shop. If you need assistance, or have any questions, the helpdesk can be reached by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At the KPN Internet Centres you will find a telephone hotline to the helpdesk. Just pick up the phone and you will be connected directly to a member of the helpdesk staff, from other locations you can dial +31 20 6531852 from your mobile phone, or 020 6531852 from any public phone in the airport. If you need personal assistance, KPN personnel are on location from 06:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and in the weekends from 07:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Important to know: since January the KPN Internet Centres are self-service centres. In March 2009 the interior of the KPN Internet Centre will be completely remodelled. In the new concept we make it easier for you to get online in a dynamic, comfortable work atmosphere, regardless of whether you travel for business or leisure. For a period of about three weeks the KPN Internet Centre will be closed to all; you will be redirected to one of the KPN Internet Zones.
The KPN Internet Centres are located beyond the passport control (lounge 2 upstairs, and lounge 1 downstairs) and is only accessible to ticketed passengers; the Internet Centres are open 24 hours a day.
The KPN Internet Centre is a concept of KPN HotSpots Schiphol B.V. Their office is located on the La Guardiaweg 5, in Amsterdam.
KPN Internet Zones
For those travelling without a laptop, Schiphol Airport offers internet access using one of the terminals broadband desktop computers. The computers are situated in the KPN Internet Zones. There is one located on Schiphol Plaza, and then once beyond the passport control, in lounge 1, lounge 2 (2nd floor), lounge 3 (beginning of gate G), lounge 4 (Gate M, gate C (near C10), and gate D, both the high and low numbered gates.
