1. Pay directly with your bank card or phone

It works just like contactless payment in a shop, using your debit card or phone. No registration, ticket, app or Dutch bank account needed. Follow these steps:

  1. Take your bank card out, or open your bank card on your phone.

2. Tap your card or phone against the card reader. You’re checked in.

3. Tap off to check out using the same card.

This method works in almost the entire Dutch public transport system, but not on international trains (Eurostar), on special or tourist services (FlixBus), or outside the Netherlands.

2. Buy a ticket at Schiphol airport
