A.A.S. Security Areas

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has the following security areas:
- Public area
- Security Restricted Areas
- Secured Premises secured by A.A.S.
- Secured Premises secured by sector parties

The section below provides a brief explanation of each area.

Public area
The public area is accessible to everyone; people dropping of or collecting passengers, employees and visitors. There is no access control in the public area, although the area is monitored.

Security Restricted Areas
The Security Restricted Areas are located on airside, and consist of:

  • Non-Security Restricted Areas (Non-SRA)
The Non-SRA areas are located in the terminal, and are only accessible to passengers with a valid ticket and employees with the appropriate Schiphol Pass. The Non-SRA areas include Departure Lounges 2 and 3 and the first floor of Pier D, E, F and G.
The Non-Security Restricted Areas are subject to 100 % access control.

  • Security Restricted Areas - Critical Part (SRA-CP)
The SRA-CP areas consist of the Clean Area's on airside, both inside and outside the terminal. The SRA-CP areas include Lounge 1, Pier B and C, the second floor of Pier D and Pier M and H. A security check is carried out at the gate in the case of flights departing from gates on the first floor of Pier D and from Piers E, F and G. The gate then qualifies as the Clean Area. The Non-SRA areas are only accessible to passengers with a valid ticket and employees with the appropriate Schiphol Pass.

The perimeter roads, aprons and baggage areas on airside are also part of the SRA-CP areas, and are only accessible to employees with the appropriate Schiphol Pass.

Secured Premises by A.A.S.
The Secured Premises by A.A.S. are secured by A.A.S. and consist exclusively of the Schiphol-East Business Park. The Secured premises by A.A.S are only accessible to employees with the appropriate Schiphol Pass.

Secured Premises secured by sector parties
The sector parties Secured Premises are secured by companies and consist exclusively of the Crew Centre. The Secured premises secured by sector parties are only accessible to employees with the appropriate Schiphol Pass.
