Schiphol - Safety & security

Certain areas at the airport are off-limits to the public. These are called secure and protected areas.

All staff in possession of a pass with apron authorisation must participate in a basic training.

All staff in possession of a pass with apron authorisation must take an online refresher course every 2.5 years.

All applicants for a Schiphol Pass to a protected area (with the exception of the white pass) must successfully complete a test first.

Everyone who wishes to access protected areas, including the perimeter roads and/or the aprons, must successfully complete the Airside Safety Test.
