Those who cross the threshold of Café Rembrandt find themselves in a typical Amsterdam “brown cafe”. No expense or effort was spared to surround the visitor with characteristic, Dutch-style coziness. Works by the 17th century master adorn the walls, leaving no one in any doubt who the cafe was named after. The interior here is genuine: wooden floors, dark red curtains, a large bar and a sheltered, heated outdoor café (where you are allowed to smoke) contribute to an authentic and cosy place at which you can withdraw from the lively Schiphol.
