Internet available throughout the airport

At Schiphol your office is always at hand. Wireless Internet or WiFi provides you online access from anywhere in the airport terminal whenever and wherever you wish. And you may easily make a call or be called on your mobile phone or on one of our permanent telephones.

Free and Premium WiFi services at Schiphol
Wireless Internet is easy: simply switch on your laptop, PDA or tablet PC, select the ‘KPN’ network, open the Internet browser and follow the instructions on the login page. Two options are shown on the login page: ‘Free WiFi’, which is free of charge, and Premium Service or ‘Premium WiFi’. Free WiFi offers you up to one hour of free use of the wireless Internet with any device enabling you to log in. You may use 2x 30 minutes of Internet time to check your email or view websites, for instance.

Looking for high speed Internet access, or looking to connect with a company network or print information? Premium Wifi is the option you’re looking for. To access Premium Wifi you will need to purchase an access code. You may purchase a code online by credit card via your own device or a fixed computer, via the payment machine (using a credit card) at the KPN Internet Centres and Zones, or at a nearby retail outlet.

The KPN Internet Centres and Zones are located at Schiphol Plaza and after passport control in Departure Lounge 1, Departure Lounge 2 (first floor), Departure Lounge 3 (Pier G), Pier C (near C10), Pier D and Departure Lounge 4 (Pier M).

IT support
If you need any help you may contact the helpdesk at any time of day, every day of the week. The KPN Internet Centres have a telephone providing direct access to the helpdesk. You may also use your mobile telephone to call +31 20 653 18 52.

Public telephones
Public telephones operated by coins, a telephone card or credit card are available throughout Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. In addition, the red telephones provide free access to 0800 numbers. Enquire at the information desks in the terminal for the exact locations.

The following rates apply to the use of public telephones at Schiphol:

When paying with coins or a telephone card: EUR 0.20 per impulse. The starting rate is one impulse. The duration of the following impulse depends on the destination. The duration for the most common destinations is as follows:

  • Netherlands, fixed numbers: 20 seconds per impulse
  • Netherlands, mobile numbers: 10 seconds per impulse
  • Europe, incl. Turkey: 10 seconds per impulse
  • Morocco: 9 seconds per impulse
  • USA and Canada: 11 seconds per impulse

To request numbers within the Netherlands or abroad, please call 1888 or 1889 respectively (one euro per minute).

Telephone cards are available at various locations at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Credit card payment:

  • Within the Netherlands: EUR 5 = starting rate, and EUR 1.50 for each following minute
  • Europe, Turkey and Morocco: EUR 9 = starting rate, and EUR 3.99 for each following minute
  • USA and Canada: EUR 18 = starting rate, and EUR 3.99 for each following minute
  • Other countries: EUR 12 = starting rate, and EUR 3.99 for each following minute.
    Payment is only made if the telephone call is actually made. BBG Communications provides the credit card service.
