Participating interests and management contracts

Schiphol Group's international focus is towards better facilitating its most important customers by seeking collaboration with the foreign airports of greatest importance to them. This will strengthen its competitive position. The expansive global network of Air France-KLM and its SkyTeam partners plays a key role in this. The SkyTeam alliance is the largest transatlantic joint venture in the aviation sector, with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Aeroports de Paris and JFK International Airport serving as important hubs.

In addition, Schiphol Group will maintain international partnerships and continues to pursue the effective management of existing participations.

John F. Kennedy Airport, Terminal 4, New York, USA
Schiphol Group's subsidiary Schiphol USA has a 100% interest in JFK International Air Terminal LLC (JFK IAT), with a management contract for the exploitation of Terminal 4 at JFK Airport. When the new terminal opened its doors in May 2001, this international terminal at JFK Airport in New York was amongst the largest public-private projects to be realised in the United States.

It was also the first American terminal to be co-developed by a foreign airport operator. Work on the extansion of Terminal 4 began in November 2010 and involves nine new international gates for Delta Airlines, baggage facilities, customs and border control facilities. The first phase is due to be completed in 2013.

Brisbane International Airport, Australia
Schiphol Group subsidiary Schiphol Australia has a stake of 18.72% in the Brisbane Airport Corporation Holding (BACH) - which operates and develops airport facilities at Brisbane International Airport in Australia.

Reina Beatrix Aruba Airport
Schiphol Group concluded a management contract with Reina Beatrix Aruba Airport in 2004. Under the terms of the contract, Schiphol Group appoints the airport's managing director and provides technical support.

AƩroports de Paris
In December 2008 Schiphol Group entered into a long-term partnership with AƩroports de Paris SA (AdP) under the name HubLink, with the two airport companies acquiring mutual 8% shares in one another to underscore their commitment. This marked the establishment of the airport industry's first global alliance.

AdP is a listed company that owns and operates the Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Le Bourget airports. Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are part of the dual hub system used by the Air-France - KLM-based SkyTeam alliance.

Vienna International Airport
Schiphol Group holds a 1% share in Vienna International Airport. Dartagnan Biometric Solutions Dartagnan Biometrics Solutions is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schiphol Group that markets technology solutions in the field of biometric identification.

Schiphol Telematics (ST)
Established in 1991, Schiphol Telematics has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schiphol Group since 2006. ST is a specialised telecom operator for the business market in and around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, developing and providing specialised speech, data, Internet and managed services through both landline and mobile networks. In fact, the wireless business network (Wireless LAN) operated by ST at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the largest in the Netherlands.
