Background
The world is changing. Since 9/11, the aviation industry has had to deal with a constantly increasing raft of legislation. Every new rule affects the way airport security is organised along with the processes of the various companies at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Passengers and staff have also been directly affected by the new measures.

Ambition
The Security in Progress programme was launched to enable us to continue to provide a safe, efficient and distinctive high-quality security environment for passengers, staff and companies at Schiphol. Schiphol set up this programme in order to prepare for future developments combined with a state-of-the-art passenger experience. Schiphol collaborates with external market players and knowledge institutes on this programme.
