Governmental levies
The Dutch government imposes levies on airlines for noise, Air Traffic Control and the Governmental Planning Compensation Levy. This last levy is necessary in order to refund the expenditures pre-financed by the government for claims, the demolition of buildings and the relocation of houseboats in the vicinity of Schiphol.
