Revised noise-related operating restrictions

In order to accommodate further growth at the airport, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has revised noise-related restrictions as from the IATA 2011/2012 winter season. Further fleet renewal of most of the full freighter airlines has already achieved a significant decrease in noise and, as a result, the accommodation of more aircraft movements. Since noise and MTOW both contribute to the landing fees at Schiphol we are glad to see the Boeing freighter 747-8 rank at noise category C, making it 20% cheaper to land at Schiphol than its predecessor, the 747-400. To stimulate further noise reductions, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is now offering a special MCC3 conversion incentive programme.
