Amsterdam Airport Schiphol modernizes snow fleet

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has expanded its snow fleet by taking delivery of 8 new snow ploughs and 2 new snow millers. The number of snow vehicles at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol now totals 86.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is fully equipped for severe snowy weather conditions. From December 17 to 20, during the severe snow in Europe, more than 75 percent of Schiphol’s scheduled cargo services were operating — 20 flights were on time, and 124 freighters ran more than 15 minutes late. In all, 47 cargo flights had to be cancelled due to the weather.
