15-year anniversary Emirates Skycargo

On 19 January 2012 it was exactly 15 years ago that Emirates SkyCargo’s first cargo flight took off from Dubai to Amsterdam. Reason enough for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to visit the Emirates office: after all, what’s a birthday without a cake!

With representative GSA International Air Cargo Trader as its sales and operations office, the Schiphol branch was further strengthened in 2011 with the arrival of Achim van der Graaff as Emirates Cargo Manager. The Emirates SkyCargo B747 cargo aircraft and passenger flights, which are now operated on a daily basis, have become a familiar face at our airport. We hope to welcome Emirate’s new B777 cargo aircraft to Schiphol soon, and look forward to the airline’s planned capacity expansion in passenger flights as well. Emirates’ cargo handling agents Skylink and (on the apron) Menzies Aviation have also been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
