We have recently pointed out the increase in and effect of automotive advertising at foreign airports. And now we also see an increase in automotive advertising at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
The airport has a direct link to the automotive industry because of the transporting character. Since passengers spend a considerable amount of time at the airport before departure, this creates an excellent opportunity to reach your target group.
At this moment there is an Audi A6 placed centrally in Lounge 1. It is positioned on an elevated stand next to the popular Starbucks terrace With this way of displaying, the car becomes an immediate eye catcher. Together with 2 giant screens hanging above the car that displays Audi commercials, it becomes a very powerful way of advertising.
There also is a Mini from Sixt placed in the corridor in the direction of Reclaim 1&2. It is remarkably displayed and lit, striking everybody’s attention that passes by the car.
A giant Kia Picanto at Schiphol stole everybody’s attention at Schiphol’s central forecourt. Both young and old passengers were fascinated by the surprisingly big car. Children tried to grasp the car’s doorknobs and hang there for minutes and families and couples had their pictures taken in front of the gigantic lime coloured Kia.
Hyundai recently had their own lounge at the airport, presenting two of their models. Brand ambassadors were there to inform the interested ones about the new features.
