M.A.C. cosmetics was looking for ways to promote and at the
same time sell their products at Schiphol
Airport. This is why Media &
Retail joined forces and arranged an alternative use of a promotion point: the
launch of a brand new temporary cosmetics store. M.A.C. is the first brand to
use a promotion point for the period of one year which is highly exceptional.
The M.A.C. cosmetics store perfectly illustrates the concept
of brand experience. The store has a minimalistic design with open tester units
which make it very accessible. All M.A.C. employees are make-up artists and
they are at the premises to advise consumers about their look. The M.A.C. image
is conveyed to the customer through the artist’s 100% black attire: focus on
the actual product and let the customer be the star. All products can be tested
and bought straight away.
